LOCATION & POSITION INFORMATION:
This position is located at the Blackbear Golf Club within the Office of State Parks in Delhi, LA.
DUTIES: Serve as the Operations Manager and primary administrative assistant to the Director of Golf. Assist in the efficient management, operation, and the promotion of interest in the sport. Assist in preparation of financial and other reports regarding the operation of the golf course and related facilities. Assist with contract management associated with facility operations. Maintain current and accurate inventory of resale items. Collect green fees and other fees, make bank deposits, and accurately account for funds collected. Oversee full-time and part-time staff to assure the course and facilities are ready to use on a day-to-day basis.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENT:Experience in golf course operations.

Job Concepts:
Purpose of this position is to act as Operations Manager and primary administrative assistant to the Director of Golf.
Responsible for immediate supervision of full-time and part-time staff.
Responsible for assisting in the efficient management, operation, and the promotion of interest in the sport.
Examples of Work:
Assists in management and operation of the golf course in general and assures the course and facilities are ready to use on a day-to day basis.
Make purchase recommendations to the Director of Golf for the Pro Shop and the golf course.
Collect green fees and other fees. Deposit monies into the bank and accurately account for funds collected.
Work with Grounds Superintendent and his staff to coordinate turf-care practices and course closures.
Sells merchandise, conduct daily business, and account for cash at registers in the Pro Shop.
Assist and supervise subordinates in maintaining the clubhouse and golf course grounds, scheduling and controlling tee times and preparing tee sheets.
Assist in the supervision of starter marshal volunteers.
Assist in conducting and supervising special tournaments and youth programs designed to increase the public interest and participation in golf.
Assist in the conduct of group clinics, as requested.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
